REDARC BCDC Classic Under Bonnet 40A DC Battery Charger - BCDC1240D. A 12V 40A DC to DC under bonnet battery charger, capable of excellent performance in engine bay installations. Potted to withstand heat, water and dust. Equipped with a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator, will charge both solar and alternator simultaneously. With a built-in 'green power priority', will select charging the solar first for less load on the alternator. Suitable for 12 or 24-volt vehicle systems, the unit will also work with either standard or variable/smart alternators. Comes with patented charging profiles, including a lithium charging profile for pairing with a REDARC Lithium Battery. The 'dual' input range will continue to charge all other types of batteries including AGM, GEL, standard lead acid and calcium. For battery bank sizes over 200Ah and lithium batteries over 100Ah. Check the manufacturer’s data for your battery and ensure that the ‘Continuous Current Rating’ of the charger does not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended maximum charging current. The award-winning technology in the BCDC has been independently verified and tested to ensure battery life is maximised, charging your battery to a proven 100% (large capacity battery banks may require a few cycles to fully charge).
